Kimonos should be casual and not restrict movement. When buying an outfit, you must remember that it may shrink slightly in the wash. So in the case of a child, you need to choose a karategi size about 5 to 10 cm longer than his height. For an adult, a kimono 5 cm longer is sufficient.
