Game of boules / game of boules / game of balls – a very popular in France, an arcade social game. It involves throwing metal balls from a marked circle. Interest in the game of boules is also growing steadily in Poland, mainly in parks and unpaved squares. Petanque can be played on any flat surface that allows free play (grass, asphalt, parquet).

Each pair of balls is engraved with a different pattern for easier assignment of balls to individual players. In a sturdy nylon case with zipper and handle, you can easily store and transport the entire set. The set includes everything you need.

What the game is about:
Boules in its sports version, as a discipline, is called Petanque and is played by two teams:
– 3 players against 3 players then called Triplette
– 2 Players against 2 players called Dublette
– 1 Player against 1 player called Tate-a-tete

The starting team is chosen by flipping a coin. One of the players of the first team chooses the tossing place and draws a circle on the ground with a diameter of not less than 35 cm and not more than 50 cm.
The first player, standing with both feet in the drawn circle, throws a piggy ball at a distance of about 6 to 10 m, keeping 1 m distance from obstacles (walls, trees, bushes).
The initiator of the game throws the ball as close to the pig as possible. Both feet of the thrower must be inside the circle and in contact with the ground until the ball touches the ground.
The player of the opposing team stands in the circle and tries to place his ball closer to the piggy bank than the opponent, or to knock out the opponent’s balls. The ball closer to the pig takes the lead.
The game continues with the team whose ball is farthest from the pig after the first round of throws. It does so until it places its ball closer to the pig or it can give up its turn.
When the losing team runs out of balls or gives up its turn, the opposing team tries to place the rest of its balls closer to the pig or gives up its turn.
When both teams are out of balls the calculation of points takes place. The winning team gets as many points as the number of balls it placed closer to the pig than the opposing team.
The player from the winning team throws the “piggy bank”. The team that first accumulates 13 points wins.
Any deviation from the above rules to improve the fun is allowed.
